The information below should answer most questions you may have about becoming a reseller. For additional information, or to activate your reseller account, please email us.
How do I become a reseller?
By sending a request to sales@CharlestonSolutions.com Are there any minimum requirements to be a reseller? Yes. Your main account must be a Basic plan or higher. This plan will not be discounted. How much does it cost to be a reseller? It doesn't cost anything. The only necessity is that your main account must meet the minimum requirements. Your main account is the account (domain name) under which you requested to become a reseller. What if I cancel my main account? If you cancel your main account, all plans that you have resold will be billed at our normal rates. You will no longer receive any discounts. Why would I want to be a reseller? By becoming a reseller, you can offer another service to your clients. This makes you look more professional and presents another source of income for you or your company. Additionally, by signing up to be a reseller you aren't committing to making any actual sales. You are simply setting up your reseller account so you have the possibility of making future sales. Remember, the only commitment you are making is that you will maintain a Basic plan or higher for your own domain. How much do I get charged for hosting plans if I am reselling them? You will receive a 25% discount off our normal rates as shown in the table below, these prices don't include the $50 per domain setup fee.
Do I get a discount on the setup fees? No How much do I charge for the hosting plans when I resell them? You may charge anything you wish. After someone agrees to buy a hosting plan from me, how do I sign them up? You sign up your customer the same way you signed up, by going to our hosting page. After selecting which plan your customer wants, you will be presented with a payment option page. On this page, you can enter your reseller code to obtain the proper discount. Shortly after completing the process, you should receive an email stating that the domain has been set up and you can begin to ftp the web pages. As a reseller, how do my customers get billed? You are responsible for collecting payment from your customers, you may do this any way you wish. What if one of my customers has technical problems, who do they call for help? Your customers should always contact you for any questions, concerns, or technical problems. Never, under any circumstances should you have your customers contact us. Remember, as far as your customers are concerned you are providing the hosting services. What if I can't answer my customer's question or solve their problem? If you cannot handle your customer's request or problem, you may contact us for assistance.
