Domain Name Search:

The first step in our journey begins by making sure the name you want is available. This is done by searching a world wide database of all registered names, this database is maintained by a company called Network Solutions. Domain names can be up to 63 characters long (not including the ".com", ".net", ".org", or ".edu"). The name can only include letters, numbers, and hyphens. Domain names are not case sensitive. Domain Name Registration:

After you find a name that is available, you need to register it. There are many companies that now register domain names, but they are all filed in the same database so that no one else can get your name after you have registered it. Your registration reserves the use of your name for up to 10 years. The cost of registration can vary, but is usually $20 to $35 per year. You will receive a bill from the Registrar for your domain, this is seperate from our services.

Site Design:

This is where the creative process begins. In this phase, we decide what & how many pages should be included in your website, the overall color scheme, the types of fonts to use, what special effects will be implemented, etc... Navigational Structure:

Now that we've determined all the pages to be used in your website, we need to come up with a consistent navigational structure that allows visitors to move throughout your site intuitively. Someone once said "If you build it, he will come". Without proper navigation, he will leave.

Create Your Site:

Once all of the prep work is done, it's time to make the doughnuts. This is where our programmers actually implement the various programming languages that will be the framework of your website. In addition to HTML, depending on the requirements of your website, we may be using PERL, C++, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, database programming, or one of many other languages.

Site Testing:

This is where we verify that everything shows up properly on each page, all the links work, and other general site wide issues that could cause problems for you or your visitors.

Selecting a Hosting Service:

After your website is finished, the world is waiting to see it.  You have to place your website on a server (computer) that is connected to the Internet continuously. Depending upon your website's requirements and the amount of traffic you expect, many different hosting plans are available. Publish Your Site:

This is when the files that make up your website are transferred from our staging computers to the appropriate server, whether it's one of our servers or someone else's.

Search Engine Submission:

We have 2 different levels of search engine submission.

• Premium - Your site is submitted to all the major search engines & directories.
• Ultimate - Your site is submitted to all the major search engines & directories once each month for 3 consecutive months to ensure your site maintains it's ranking.

Maintain Your Site:

Now that you finally have that Internet presence you've been yearning for, don't let it become static! The most valuable quality of the Internet is instant access to timely information, you don't want your website to be full of outdated information.

Ensure that someone is tasked with keeping your site current. This includes such things as updating content (wouldn't it be terrible if you had to sell this year's model for last year's price because someone didn't update the website) & verifying that all your hyperlinks are still current.

If you include forms for your visitors to log in or to feedback to you, the files that keep track of all this can become enormous. On a regular basis these files need to archived or deleted, failure to do so can drastically effect your site's performance. If no maintenance plan is selected, our normal rates are as follows:

• $50 per hour for HTML
• $75 per hour for CGI, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP
• $100 per hour for database, Java, Flash
